The Girtonian brings together stories of discovery, impact, and imagination. Alumni, Fellows, students, and friends offer insights into fields as varied as Formula 1, medieval literature, regenerative medicine and the global wine industry. Throughout the issue, readers will meet Girtonians who are driving innovation and reshaping industries worldwide, including:

  • Adam Kenyon, Head of Aerodynamics at Atlassian Williams Racing, on the relentless pursuit of perfection in Formula 1.
  • Lottie Birdsall-Strong, Head of Youth Strategy at the England & Wales Cricket Board, who is transforming access to sport for young people across the UK.
  • Mark Budd, whose ambitious work in renewable energy exemplifies the grit and imagination of Girton alumni.
  • Dr James Wade and Dr Seb Falk, the Girton Fellows who solved a centuries-old mystery in medieval literature.
  • Karen Spärck Jones, the pioneering computer scientist whose work underpins modern search engines and natural language processing.

Art, culture, poetry, community celebrations, alumni events, and snapshots of Girton life round out the magazine, offering a portrait of a College that remains intellectually curious, outward-looking, and grounded in its founding values.
