On 17-18 November 2026, Girton College will host its annual Giving Day, a 36-hour global initiative inviting alumni and supporters to back current and future Girtonians.
At its heart, Giving Day is about sustaining the opportunities, support and sense of community that define the Girton experience. Every gift made during the Girton Giving Day supports The Annual Fund, which provides flexible funding that can be directed where it is needed most. Thanks to a group of generous alumni, thousands of pounds in matched and challenge funding will also be released throughout the campaign, helping to maximise the impact of donations.
As well as raising funds for The Annual Fund, the campaign celebrates the shared experiences and connections that continue long after graduation. Through donor messages, student stories and our Giving Day Gratitude Hub, Giving Day offers an opportunity for the entire Girton community to come together and help shape the Girton experience for generations to come.
Between 11am and 3pm on both days, we'll be based by the Social Hub, where students and staff are invited to take part in our Gratitude Wall and enjoy a free cupcake. There will also be the chance to enter our "Guess the Total" challenge by predicting the final Giving Day fundraising total, with over £300 worth of prizes up for grabs.
