College Admissions
Once you have an offer from your subject department or faculty, and your application has been sent to Girton, it will be considered by one of our Postgraduate Tutors.
We use the same documents that you submitted to the University Postgraduate Admissions Office about your academic record, achievements, and academic interests. Every application is considered on its own merits using the same criteria.
We aim to keep a balanced community of students doing one-year courses and PhD research and welcome students of all ages, as well as student with families. Girton accepts students in the full range of subjects offered by the University, and attracts some of the best research students from every part of the world.

Applying to Girton
All postgraduate applications are made through the University, rather than through individual Colleges. Further information is here.
There are a couple of exceptions: MBA, MAcc and MFIN applications are made directly via the Judge Business School. PGCE and MEd applications are made directly via the Faculty of Education.
When applying, you can either choose one or two specific colleges or you may make an open application. Why not make Girton your first choice from the start.
