Management Studies undergraduate information

Management Studies is not available to new entrants. However, if, as your degree progresses, you feel that your career might be in management then reading Management Studies in your final year at Cambridge would be a good choice. Applications are invited from all third and fourth-year undergraduates. The programme provides the perfect opportunity for Cambridge undergraduates to develop a thorough understanding of the activity of management in an intellectually rigorous fashion.

The Management Studies Tripos provides students with a thorough grounding in the disciplines which form the basis of management practice; skills of critical analysis in relation to management issues; an awareness of the responsibilities of managers in a wider economic, social and environmental context; basic quantitative skills and the ability to apply them in a problem-solving context; the opportunity to gain practical experience of a management problem, and the opportunity to develop skills of communication and co-operation relevant to your future career.

It has always been my dream to become an agent of change, hence why I decided to study International Development…Coming from one of the most underdeveloped regions in the world, in Venezuela, I have become invested in the idea of finding ways to tackle poverty and establish communities that thrive. The Maria Luisa de Sanchez and Irene Hallinan Graduate Research Scholarships, have enabled me to pursue my passion in ways I never thought imaginable. Thank you Girton for investing in me and helping me to recognise my own potential.
