Girton Jazz presents Yolande Charles 'Triometry'

International bass legend Yolanda Charles MBE brings her latest trio project TRIºMTRY to Girton Jazz for Lent term. A veteran of the Groove/Soul and Jazz scenes, Yolanda has worked with the likes of Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson on a remarkable CV, and is a regular at the Ronnie Scott's Late Late Show with her ensemble 'Project PH'. Starting her career in the music business playing for Jimmy Somerville from The Communards and London bands Raw Stylus and Urban Species, her most recent pre-lockdown credits saw her touring with renowned composer Hans Zimmer as well as Laura Mvula, Eksa and Squeeze.

TRIºMTRY is a trio comprising of modern jazz fusion influenced by legacy fusion and representing the evolution of jazz inthe new era. Along with Charles (bass), the project features the outstanding talents of Nick Linnik (guitar) and Nicolas Viccaro (drums).
