Girton College is delighted to be hosting our annual Roll of Alumni weekend dinner (including reunion dinner for all those who matriculated in 1995, 1996 and 1997) on Saturday 28 September 2024. The dinner coincides with a weekend of activities being held in the College including talks, the unveiling of the latest addition to our People’s Portraits collection, and a concert.

10.30 – Reception Desk in the Reception Room opens for collection of name badges and programmes
10.30 – 17.00 Free Tea and Coffee will be available outside the Old Hall
11.00 – 12.00 Library Talk by author and social historian Jane Robinson, author of Blue Stockings and her new book Trailblazer which was published in February 2024. Trailblazer tells the story of Barbara Bodichon, (1827–1891). Barbara was an artist, feminist, journalist and prominent campaigner for law reform and women’s rights and was both a founder and a funder of the College.

12.00 14.00 Lunch will be available with in the cafeteria in the main Hall.
The Library and Archive will be open.
14.00 – 15.00 Lawrence Room Talk by Dr Lucie Carreau, Collections Team Coordinator at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge. Lucie will be speaking about Maori fishhooks.
