All University of Cambridge members are invited to join us for the launch of the Girton College Legacies of Enslavement Research Hub, dedicated to preserving, pursuing, and promoting research and documentation on Girton’s historical links to enslavement.
Over two panels, we will introduce the Research Hub’s growing repository and scholarship; demonstrate how undergraduate, postgraduate, and Fellow researchers can engage with it; and discuss its significance for understanding the legacies of enslavement at Cambridge and beyond.

Panel 1: What We Have Done (15:00 – 15:40)
LEC archivist, researchers, and student interns will discuss the work the LEC has done in setting up the Research Hub and its core components, including a digital repository of archival documents assembled in the course of Girton’s Legacies of Enslavement research.
