A Great Campaign
Your generous support has made A Great Campaign the most successful fundraising Campaign in Girton’s history. By donating endowment funding for undergraduate bursaries, postgraduate scholarships, fellowships, the unrestricted endowment and more, our supporters have transformed the financial sustainability of the College. Thank you from us all.
Below we list the names of all those who have supported the College at Member level and above (and who are happy to have their names listed). Girtonians are listed under their matriculation year.
The impact of your gifts during A Great Campaign
Over the course of A Great Campaign £50 million has been raised to transform the College’s finances, with £28.4 million received in donations, of which 78% have been made to the permanent endowment and the balance consisting of pledges for future legacies.
“I was so happy when I got my bursary email I cried and called my parents. It just means I don’t have to worry about asking my family for money they can’t give, to buy the books my course needs…. I can’t thank you enough, it’s completely transformed how I feel being a student here – I’ve never felt so lucky before”

Girton stories
Chadwick Mok
1984, Engineering
Together with his father-in-law, has endowed a postgraduate scholarship at Girton, the Chan and Mok Graduate Scholarship, for students who are permanent residents of Hong Kong. Chadwick who chairs the Girton Hong Kong Committee says:
"Without financial assistance, I would not have been able to complete both my degrees, so I would like to help and encourage underprivileged students to apply. We want to offer young people with talent the chance to pursue a rigorous education"
