Girton College Music Society (GCMS) presents three staged performances of Cole Porter’s multiple-award-winning musical Kiss me, Kate. When divorcees Fred and Lilli clash in rehearsals for Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, offstage and onstage drama begin to overlap. A comic tale of gangsters, gambling debts and second chances in love, Kiss me, Kate is widely seen as Cole Porter’s finest theatrical achievement.
