Join Girton Fellow Dr Arik Kershenbaum for an engaging talk on the rich biodiversity of the College grounds and their important role as a sanctuary for wildlife within the city of Cambridge.
Dr Kershenbaum is a zoologist whose research focuses on animal communication and the evolution of language. He also supervises undergraduate students in Mathematical Biology and Animal Biology at Girton College, University of Cambridge. His recent publications are Why Animals Talk (2024) and The Zoologist's Guide to the Galaxy. What Animals on Earth Reveal About Aliens - And Ourselves (2020).
Self-guided garden tour booklets will be available after the event and throughout the weekend, inviting you to explore the grounds and discover their hidden ecological treasures at your own pace.
