Join Girton Fellow, Dr Sam Grimshaw, from 3 - 4pm on Saturday 21 March for a talk entitled 'Electric Jet Engines and Cricket Ball Swing' as part of the Cambridge Festival at the Cavendish Laboratory.
Sam's talk will explain the potential and address some of the challenges associated with using zero emission, “Electric Jet Engines”, for flight. He’ll also show how the science used to design and test jet engines has been used to understand the mysterious art of swing bowling in cricket.
Sam's talk is part of an all-day event at the Ray Dolby Centre, Cavendish Laboratory for the Cambridge Festival that offers a unique opportunity to explore the forefront of physics research through engaging talks, hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and interactive exhibits.
This event is free and open to the public but booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment!
