Give Now

Girton was founded on philanthropy, and exists today only because of the vision and generosity of its benefactors.

You can support us in two ways. You can make a donation – there are a variety of options for doing so and you can choose to remember us in your Will by leaving a legacy to the College.

Making a Donation

Gifts may take the form of lump sums, or can be given through regular instalments over a period of time. Donations can be received as cash, shares or other financial instruments. Girton College is a Registered charity (number 1137541), so giving can usually be tax-efficient. Donations are most effective when added to the Unrestricted Permanent Endowment Capital, though they may also be directed to specific funds. Whether small or large, every gift is precious; every penny wisely spent.

If you would like to discuss your donation in more detail please contact the Development Director, Deborah Easlick on or +44 (0) 1223 339893.

For more information on different ways of giving, including giving from other countries, please see our Tax-efficient Giving Page, or contact the Development Office on +44 (0)1223 766672 or

Thank you for your support!

Academic Independence

The College accepts donations on the clear understanding that the Donor can have no influence over the academic freedom and independence of the College, or indeed any aspect of its affairs, including the procurement of goods and services. In particular, the College’s selection criteria for admissions are based exclusively on academic achievement and potential, and are fully independent of philanthropic support of the College. Any gift made to the College will not affect the admission or academic record of any current or future students nor have a bearing on any dispute between a student and the College about the outcome of his/her programme of study.
