Ash Court

Ash Court is attached to the main college building so has easy access to all of the College facilities. It is a modern building built in 2013 which contains 50 en-suite rooms for undergraduate students. All of the rooms are on corridors with kitchen facilities shared between approximately nine students which can be used for limited self-catering to supplement the cafeteria in the main College building. There are laundry facilities within Ash Court.

The rooms are all en-suite, the bathroom contains a toilet, sink and shower. There are six rooms that have been built so that they can be used for students with mobility issues or other disabilities. and other issues.
All bedrooms will contain:

  • Bed and mattress
  • Wardrobe
  • Chest of drawers
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Lamp
  • Bookshelf
  • Waste bin
  • Network point

Bedding is not provided but a bedding pack can be bought from the college before students move in.

The corridors are all mixed sex with students from a mixture of different courses and different cohorts along the same corridor to foster diversity and communal living.

Students living in Ash Court (unless allocated a room on disability grounds) have a 31 / 32 week tenancy and have to clear their rooms and move out between the Michaelmas and Lent Terms. This reduces the annual cost of the rooms.

The en-suite bathrooms are cleaned once a week and kitchens are usually cleaned Monday to Friday.
