Please provide me with the following information about college accommodation, for first-year undergraduate students in the 2015/16 academic year

The cost per person per year of:
a. The least expensive self-catered shared dorm, if these are offered.

c. The least expensive self-catered single-student undergraduate college room.
d. The least expensive catered single-student undergraduate college room (please consider rooms where there is a catered option, as well as rooms that are catered as standard).
e. The most expensive self-catered single-student undergraduate college room.
f. The most expensive catered single-student undergraduate college room (please consider rooms where there is a catered option, as well as rooms that are catered as standard).
g. The median cost per person of a college room (shared or single-student). When calculating this, please assume that rooms that can either be self-catered or catered are self-catered.
h. The mean cost per person of a college room (shared or single-student). When calculating this, please assume that rooms that can either be self-catered or catered are self-catered.
i. The maximum cost per person of a college room (shared or single-student). When calculating this, please assume that rooms that can either be self-catered or catered are self-catered.

  1. With reference to questions a-i, the information regarding the costs of College accommodation for first year undergraduates can be found on the College website at the following URL:

    Please note that the College does not provide shared rooms. Undergraduates are charged by cohort and all undergraduates within a particular cohort are charged the same rate, regardless of the size or type of room. This is a fixed charge for three years.
  2. With reference to question j, the number of rooms for first year undergraduates per academic year is approximately 150. All of our first year undergraduates are provided accommodation and pay the same rate, as noted in the response above.

  4. With reference to questions l-m, there is no differentiation in price between an en-suite or standard undergraduate room in College. Therefore the following facilities are provided to all undergraduates:

  5. With reference to question n, 42 first year undergraduates received a bursary in the last academic year.

The College advises that any potential applicant to Girton contacts the College Admissions Office directly with questions relating to their admissions application, for more relevant information pertaining to their A-Level results, UMS scores etc.
