Research Themes

My research focuses on religious politics and authoritarianism in the Arab world. I am the author of Political Islam in Tunisia: The History of Ennahda (Oxford University Press, 2017). My second book will focus on the evolution of Ben Ali’s Constitutional Democratic Rally party and authoritarian resilience in Tunisia after the 2010–11 uprisings.
