Girtonian wins prestigious poetry competition
Gwyneth Lewis, alumna and former visiting Fellow, has been announced as the winner of the Crown at the 2012 Vale of Glamorgan National Eisteddfod. Contestants were challenged to write a sequence of poems on the subject Ynys (Island). Gwyneth's entry, Y Fran, beat 30 others to take the Crown and Gwyneth was hailed as a master of her craft.
