Sandi Toksvig appointed Chancellor of Portsmouth University Posted on Jan. 26, 2012
Girton College is delighted to announce that the University of Portsmouth has appointed the author, broadcaster, producer and Old Girtonian Sandi Toksvig (1977) as its new Chancellor. Sandi read Archaeology and Anthropology at Girton, and was awarded both the Theresa Montefiore Memorial Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the Raemaekers Prize for Archaeology during her time at the College. Honorary Fellow Prof Frances Ashcroft to give a Darwin Lecture Posted on Jan. 10, 2012
Former Girton student and current Honorary Fellow, Professor Frances Ashcroft, is to give a lecture on 3rd February 2012 as part of Darwin College's annual series of Darwin Lectures. The overall theme of this year's lecture series is "Life", and Professor Ashcroft has entitled her lecture "The Spark of Life".
