Fellow's dissertation wins prize Posted on Aug. 25, 2009
We are pleased to announce that Dr Danielle van den Heuvel has won the PhD Dissertation Prize (pre 1800 category) of the International Economic History Association. Her winning thesis is titled “Women and Entrepreneurship: Female Traders in the Northern Netherlands, c. 1580–1815”.It was awarded during the XVth World Economic History Congress, held from 3–7 August 2009 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The jury consisted of Beverly Lemire (chair), Philippe Minard and Om Prakash.

The Choir of Girton College Cambridge
US Tour Summer 2009The College’s Chapel Choir has recently completed its first ever tour of the USA. This included a performance at St Thomas’s Church 5th Avenue in New York, the country’s premier venue for sacred music.
