Undergraduate Admissions
Girton is one of the larger undergraduate colleges in Cambridge, admitting about 150 undergraduates each year. Our students come from a wide variety of social and educational backgrounds, both from the United Kingdom and overseas, with well over half coming from state schools. About half of our students read science subjects, about half the arts and social sciences. We offer places in every subject available at Cambridge except Education and History of Art.
We are committed to admitting students of the highest intellectual potential, irrespective of social, religious or financial considerations to our truly egalitarian community. We actively seek enquiries and applications from academically able individuals from any background.
