John L Hendry
Supernumerary Fellow (Management Studies)
John Hendry is currently Professor of Management at the University of Reading and Head of the University of Reading Business School. From 1990 to 1998 he was Director of the University of Cambridge MBA Course in what is now the Judge Business School and a Professorial Fellow of Girton.
Trained initially as a mathematical physicist, John’s research career has spanned the history and philosophy of science, the history of technology and technology policy, and social and economic studies of business, management and organisation. Recent work has focused on the history and sociology of business and morality, the economics of incompetence, and social and ethical aspects of corporate governance. John’s current research focus is on corruption.
