- Number of students admitted per year (average over 2008-2010): 7
- Entry requirements: A Level Chemistry and two from A Level Biology, Mathematics or Physics (see also the University Pre-medical requirements)
- Typical offer: A*AA
- Written test: all Cambridge candidates are required to take a single 2-hour written test, the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) before interview, which assesses scientific aptitude. Candidates will sit the test in their school or college in early November. Further details and a sample paper are on the BMAT website.
- Interview arrangements: usually 2 double interviews. In one interview the candidate’s suitability for the profession is assessed; the other interview concentrates on testing the candidate’s ability in and enthusiasm for science.
