Admissions
Undergraduates
Girton is one of the larger undergraduate colleges in Cambridge, admitting about 150 undergraduates each year. Our students come from a wide variety of social and educational backgrounds, both from the United Kingdom and overseas, with well over half coming from state schools. About half of our students read science subjects, about half the arts and social sciences.

Graduates
Girton’s graduate community is an active and friendly one, its 200+ students coming from many countries. There are Research students, studying for Ph.D.s in a wide range of subjects, and other Postgraduates on a variety of taught (e.g. M.Phil.) courses. Graduates are housed mainly at Wolfson Court, where there is a Graduate Common Room, and in a number of large houses owned by the College. All College facilities are available for graduate use.
