University Card
The University Card is a card supplied to all students. It will provide access to many different systems around the University and College. These include door control and cafeteria/lodge payment systems so you can buy food, photocopy cards, postage, and gifts for home. You will also need your card to access the University Library.
Credit Limit
Students University Cards have by default a £500 credit facility on them, at the end of each term the amount you have spent (up to the limit) will be transfered onto your college bill. The credit facility can only be used in the College cafeterias and lodges. If you feel that you may have problems controlling you expenditure please see your Tutor in the first instance and the bursary staff, as you have the ability to not have the credit facility on your card. If you do choose this option you will need to load up your card with some cash at the lodges before being able to use it.
The Card Service
The Card Service will also supply cards for staff and fellows of colleges. If you feel that you require one and have not yet received one please contact the College’s Card Reps listed below.
Replacement Cards
Due to a late change by the Univerity Card Service the charges for replacement cards have changed, please see the table below. The charge will automatically be added to your college bill.
